Punjab launches a massive raid and seizes counterfeit medications.

Culprits admit to use WhatsApp for selling fake medicines

The Punjab Health Department discovered a sizable network engaged in the sale of fake medications after conducting thorough raids around Lahore, Multan, and Dera Ghazi Khan.

Details state that the raids found counterfeit cough syrups, skin infection treatments, and anesthetic injections, according to Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir.

Authorities found that fake anesthetic injections were being produced in the Gulberg neighborhood of Lahore, and they confiscated hundreds of bottles of fake cough syrups in Multan.

Additionally, a sizable shipment of counterfeit skin care products was found. FIRs were filed against the involved parties, and several pharmacies in Dera Ghazi Khan and Lahore were sealed.

The offenders acknowledged using WhatsApp groups and other social media sites to sell these phony medications.

The government affirmed that notices regarding subpar manufacturing processes are being sent out as part of continuous inspections of pharmaceutical companies with licenses.
